Pabina Yinkere
Pabina oversees the development and execution of Investment strategies at Sigma Pensions. He has over 13 years’ experience in investment advisory, institutional research, financial strategy, and portfolio management. He has been a core member of various Investment Strategy Committees and part of a team that introduced Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to the Nigerian Market. He has experience in managing and supporting portfolios that track the broad market index (NSE-30 Index), sector-specific indexes (Banking, Consumer Goods and Industrial Goods), Nigerian sovereign bonds (S&P Nigerian Government Bond Index). Pabina’s investment advisory and strategy has supported portfolios to outperform the Nigerian Stock Market All-Share Index (ASI) consistently over the last eight years. Pabina has led a number of highly rated equity research teams in Nigeria.
His experience spans different industries including oil and gas, banking, consumer goods, insurance, and infrastructure. He has published various highly rated economic, company and industry reports and he maintains robust self-built financial models covering major companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Before joining Sigma Pensions, Pabina was Director, Institutional Business at Vetiva Capital Management. He has also previously held positions as Head of Research and Strategy at the Asset Management Division at Access Bank Plc, and at Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited. Pabina is a regular contributor to Bloomberg, Capital Markets West Africa, The Economist, BusinessDay, Punch, CNBC Africa, Reuters, Voice of America, and Channels Television. Pabina holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Geophysics from Ambrose Alli University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University.
