Nicholas N. Nneji
Nicholas Nwalozie Nneji graduated with a BSc. Degree in Accountancy from the Abia State University in 1987. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos in 1997.
Nicholas started his career at Central Bank of Nigeria, Bauchi Branch as NYSC member in 1987 and thereafter trained at Olatunde Ayoola & Co. Chartered Accountants from 1989 and left in 1990 as Audit Senior. He joined Afribank Nigeria Plc (Renamed Mainstreet Bank) in 1990 and left in 1992 as an Interbank Treasury Dealer. Between 1992-2005 he traversed several departments/ positions at FBN (Merchant Bankers) Limited, a subsidiary of First Bank, as Foreign Exchange Dealer, Deputy Lead –Treasury department, Lead- Operations, Financial Controller and Lead- Funds Management in Corporate Finance Division.
From 2006, as a pioneer staff and Lead-Funds Management at FBN Capital Limited (the Investment banking subsidiary of First Bank) he developed and launched as at then, the largest industry-size Mutual Fund; the N5 billion FBN Heritage Fund, as the first Fund Manager, in 2008. Later in 2008 he moved to ARM (Asset and Resource Management Company Limited) as Vice-President/Financial Controller. From 2009-2012 he served as the Managing Director/ CEO of Summit Finance Company Limited(Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange).
From 2013-2014 he was engaged by First Bank Nigeria Limited as Technical Assistant to the Ministry of Finance (working with the Commissioner of Finance) Cross River State, Nigeria.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria since 2002 and member, Chartered Institute of Taxation since 2003. He attended the Complete Management Programme at the London Management Centre in 2001, U.K.
He had attended Executive Management programs at Kellogg School of Management, Chicago on Corporate Governance/ Board Evaluation and Finance for Executives in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
He is also an Alumni of Harvard Business School - Advance Management Program - 194 from 2018.
