Lanre Mohammed - Senior Vice President
Lanre joined the Stanbic IBTC Group in 2006. Since October 2019, he has served as Head of the Investment Management Division at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management responsible for the investment of assets under management of more than N=780 billion (c.US$2billion). Prior to joining Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, Mr Mohammed was a Fund manager at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited where he was responsible for overseeing the Stanbic IBTC RSA Fund with assets under management of about N=2 trillion. His responsibilities included investing the fund’s assets in equities, fixed income securities as well as alternative assets such as Private Equity and Infrastructure Funds. He has also served as pioneer Head, Alternative Investments and Head, Equities, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management. He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Economics from Bowen University (2006) and a Master of Science in Business and Management from the University of Essex, United Kingdom (2016). Lanre is the current Chairman of Technical and Enlightenment Committee of Fund Managers Association of Nigeria (FMAN) and served on the Capital Market Committee in 2014 with the SEC as Team-Lead for Competitiveness Work Group to develop the Nigerian Capital Market Master Plan 2014 - 2024.
